Mark's journey in the flooring industry began two decades ago when he took on a part-time role at Home Depot while pursuing his college education to become a firefighter in Southern California. With newlywed responsibilities on the horizon and a desire to supplement his income, Mark transitioned to a sales position at a prestigious flooring retailer in Palm Springs Ca. It was here that his passion for the industry ignited, leading him to eventually ascend to the role of store manager at Flooring Innovation, where he dedicated a decade of service.

In 2014, with a growing family and a longing for a change of scenery, Mark and Kristin made the bold decision to relocate to Williamsburg on the East Coast. Mark embarked on a new chapter in his career as a commercial market manager for a national flooring retailer, but it wasn't long before his ambitions led him to pursue a role with Invista/Stainmaster. As a representative traveling across the entire East Coast, Mark found fulfillment in educating and training retailers on the Stainmaster brand.

The dream of owning their own flooring store had always lingered in the back of Mark and Kristin's minds, and in 2019, the stars aligned when Mark's job faced cutbacks, presenting the opportune moment to take the leap. Through connections with former colleagues, Mark discovered Carpet Direct Brokerage, a perfect match for their aspirations. Fast forward five years, and Mark and Kristin find themselves thriving as proud owners of their own flooring store. Every day brings new opportunities to connect with clients, enhance living spaces, and fulfill their entrepreneurial dreams. The recent rebranding effort encapsulates their journey and identity, reflecting their passion, commitment, and love for what they do.
